Baile de la Rosa

Wallflowers are a thing of the past, especially now that it is quite acceptable for women to take the initiative.  Baile de la Rose, otherwise known as the Dance of the Roses, is a concept devised in Holland and has made two appearances in Thailand.

Although the evening is based on Salsa and other South American dances, the idea is that the ladies ask a gentlemen, who of course, should not refuse, for a dance.  After the dance, the lady is presented with a rose.  There are five hundred roses available by the DJ and each lady has her own vase on her table to collect her roses.  Towards the end of the evening, the room is filled with roses, which the ladies take home with them.  Along with a Mediterranean styled snacks buffet, a special feature cocktail and a bunch of roses, what could be better?

The dancing abilities range from beginners to expert level, and for those who do not know the steps, there is a workshop to get you started.  For more information on upcoming events, contact Kavita Lamba.
