Coffee @ Cabbages & Condoms

This is our 2nd to last Coffee Morning for the year!  I can’t believe another year is nearly over and that Christmas is just around the corner!

What a wonderful venue Cabbages & Condoms is!  The tables were set up right next to the water which was a beautiful blue.  There was a little breeze blowing to keep us cool and we enjoyed some nice food with our tea and coffee as we marveled at the view and the clear skies.  A big “thank you” to the manager, Khun Amporn, and his staff for providing us with these delights!

Once we were all settled it was time for Connie, our acting President, to inform us of all that was still happening!

◊ The Ball was a great success.  A big “thank you” to Chantal and her Special Events team, Tracey Fearon, Michelle Doveton and Kavita Lamba for a job well done.  There was 150,000 baht raised from sponsorship and another amazing 200,000 baht from the auctions held on the night.

◊ Victoria Lofaro is taking over the Craft Group and is looking for participants for this group.  All monies raised go to our Welfare Projects.  If you are interested please contact Victoria.

◊ Judy Wright, who looks after the used books for sale, needs someone to mind the books for the months of December and January.  If you have some storage space and are able to help please contact Judy.

◊ Are you interested in teaching English to the disabled at the Father Ray Centre?  If so, please contact Angela Poustie.

◊ Ladies!  Please consider taking on a role as one of the Committee members, so that all the fantastic work done by the PILC will continue next year.

Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

Toscha Franklin
